Parcel Property obtained planning approval from the City of Vincent in late 2016 for this exciting, high quality, architecturally designed five storey mixed use development, designed by Matthews & Scavalli Architects.
The development incorporates ground floor commercial tenancies fronting Oxford Street, with 38 residential dwellings above. The development contains a blend of 1×1, 2×1 and 2×2 apartments, and will be delivered with Parcel Property’s vision for inner city quality living.
The design of the building and the selection of façade materials have been carefully considered to break down the mass of the building and to ensure it makes a positive contribution to the streetscape.
The importance of the north western corner of the building, which adjoins the heritage listed Oxford Hotel and will therefore be highly visible for years to come has been recognised; feature cladding and an integrated public art proposal will ensure this corner provides interest and vibrancy to the approach down Oxford Street and at the more intimate pedestrian scale.
The project is currently under design and is anticipated to be released in late 2018.
